So ASUS makes the most reliable laptops. It’s surprising that Apple is in fourth place considering that they make a lot of the hardware that goes into their macbook(pro)s.

I find the most annoying part of facebook applications is that they frequently post status messages crowding up my friend’s news stream. Some people even hate me for it. :-)

I recently got a little hooked to FarmVille, the new hotness in online games. But this time, I setup facebook to remain in stealth mode without bothering my friends.

Here’s how I did it:

First setup the facebook application settings for FarmVille. You do this immediately after adding the application. If you wait too long, the application may announce to the world that you aren’t working ;-). First select the application from the list you see when you click on Application settings under the main settings menu.

From the Application settings dialog, edit settings of the FarmVille application. Uncheck the option under Additional Permissions that allows the application to publish to the wall.

You are done. Now each time FarmVille wants to publish a message to your wall, you will have to explicitly allow it. Although this hampers game play a little bit, it goes a long way in ensuring that you don’t get bad karma.
